NGC2264 - The Cone nebula
NGC2264 or the Cone nebula is gates its name from it's obvious shape. Radiation from hot stars off the top of the the cone in this picture illuminates and erodes this giant, gaseous pillar. This is located in the constellation of Monoceros and are approximately 2600 light years from Earth.
